HUMOROUS PRANK CALLS

During their teenage years, unbeknownst to their parents, my sons and their friends decided to call up a "Shopping Network" to see how long they could engage the salesperson with a fake story about wanting to buy merchandise online. The scenario involved an elderly person with waning mental capacity who was trying to purchase an item that they had seen on the nursing home television.

The goal was to keep the salesperson on the phone as long as possible by various means, knowing that the "Shopping Network" policy was to NOT hang up on customers-- requiring instead, for the customer to terminate the call.

Of particular import in these recorded audio sessions, was the fact that they were 100% ad-libbed. There was no script. We have no idea what prompted this bizarre competition, or if there were other unrecorded encounters.

Of course prank calls are nothing new. The internet is full of them. At the bottom are a few brief, but humorous, "professional" prank calls. (Our belated apologies to the "Shopping Network" for time wasted)

As an addendum to Dr. G.I. Barber's radio sermon, "Hairology", from the album Polly Ester Heaven, (Mootown Records) we are proud to present The Glory Bugles singing "If Your Hair's Too Long, There's Sin In Your Heart"
